With the close of one year, and the beginning of a new year, it is a good time to evaluate yourself, and your growth. Almost four weeks ago, now, we flipped our calendars forward to 2011. While we are thankful for the things God did in 2010, we go forward into this new year with much excitement. God has new things in store for each of us this year.
This blog, for instance, will be a new venture for me. Written communication is certainly not one of my strengths. But, I know that God wants me to use every form of communication possible, as He leads me to lead our church, my family, and those He allows us to add, this year.
The future looks bright for Crossroads Baptist Church. I certainly believe 2011 will be the greatest year in the history of Crossroads. Very soon, we will add some new Bible classes on Sunday morning, in order to meet some of the specific needs of the people and families to whom we minister. Two specific areas would be College and career age singles, and young families. By God’s grace, we also plan to add a Senior Adult Ministry, and, Lord willing, a Reformer’s Unanimous Friday night addictions class. There will soon be a Wednesday night kids’ club, also. It is our desire to help people of all ages meet the challenges that this life brings before us.
While there are new opportunities for blessing, there are, with them, new opportunities to be a blessing in Christian service. For Crossroads members, please return your, “Plugged In,” booklets by Sunday, January 31st. There will be a great need for the information you provide for planning and preparation for the year.
My prayer is that this blog would be a blessing to all who visit. Thank you for reading, and feel free to post a comment. But, please know that I am here to serve. Please call upon me if I may be of any service to you. I would be more than happy to pray for any need you may have, if the Lord would have you to share it. Remember, you have a friend at Crossroads. May you truly know God’s blessing,
Pastor Kevin Campbell
